About this course:

Genset sizing is one of the most important subjects when intending to purchase one or more gensets for certain load. The diesel generator can only be sized correctly if the load is sized correctly. We mean by this load both the steady state running loads and the transient loads. The steady state loads decides the Kilowatt rating of your genset while the transient loads affects the size of the alternator in KVA. This course teaches the diesel engine ratings, alternators ratings, types of loads and how to size the load, then how to size the diesel generator and what are the other sizing criteria that affect this process.
